Victoria Recreation Ground Isle of Wight

-> Participate in this project.

This is a history and nature trail to help you explore Victoria Recreation Ground in Carisbrooke on the Isle of Wight. On the 1st December 1897, Tankerville Chamberlayne, the local MP, donated the land for recreation, in commemoration of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee (60 Years). We hope you enjoy the trail while respecting the grounds and ask that you do not walk across the middle of the cricket pitch. Our trail has been designed for all members of the community but young children will need adult supervision.
